Modern Calligraphy & Lettering

Modern calligraphy is a style that can be edgy, full of personality and certainly the unexpected and happy accidents can happen! Modern calligraphy sways between the intuitive and a curated “one stroke at a time”. Sometimes it’s just great fun to let the ink fly and feel the energy emerge from each letter.

At Lily and Farron, Liz often collaborates with artists and agencies to hand letter for a unique style and to give a voice, look and feel to compliment an artwork. Collaborations include a special message of Welcome for Contemporary Aboriginal Artist, Lizzie Stageman. The lettering includes an Aboriginal Welcome and a translation on artworks for both Dubbo Base Hospital and Dubbo Christian College. Other projects include lettering for cards and quotes for local artists and lettering on signage for TV show “A Farmer Wants A Wife”.
